A roll of film I've been meaning to get developed for quite a while now. Few snippets from my trip to NYC in October.

Tonight I am mocking up a mini set for a bigger project I have planned, better dig out a full pack of craft knife blades! Sometime soon I will work bigger. The prospect of a life size set excites me! 

A cake I made for my boyfriend's birthday, feels good to be modelling in sugarpaste again! 

A hastily produced "pub sign" for Park Lane College Leed's Christmas performance. Hope it does the job viewed from a distance!

So, only a week to go now till Refound Glasgow pop up shop, i'm preparing myself for a fun filled and no doubt stressful few days of screen printing cushions and prints! I can't wait to see what other people have created from their old, reclaimed furniture, it's going to be a feast for the eye i'm sure!

New Breed hits London

I had the pleasure of organising the New Breed exhibition, featuring the work of 20 of Manchester's finest illustrators from the School of Art. It was an amazing opening night, chocka block inside, we took over the street. Check out my vinyl skills on the window, it brought me great pleasure applying it to the window! 

Hello neglected blog, my hand written journal has been stealing all my attention away from you again. I promise tomorrow I will update you. A LOT of updating, a long coffee shop stint should suffice.

So, I'm en route to London to set up my exhibition, New Breed. Very excited but very nervous, I still have printing to finish! That will have to be on the back burner today as we'r going to be flat out hanging work. I can''t wait to have the vinyl in the window, proof that the northern illustrators have landed in London! 
If you're out and about in London, pop down to the private view tomorrow evening, 6.30pm.

CHECK US OUT! I'm very happy to be part of the Manchester School of Art reunion exhibition, NEW BREED next week, if you're free pop down to the Coningsby Gallery on Monday for the private view, it's gonna be a good'un! 

Its taken many a late night of organising and emailing to get the exhibition prepared, but I'm sure all the work will be worth it when we finally have everyone's work hanging on the walls! Definitely worth a peek, there's some brilliant illustrators from Manchester featured. Check out the blog for links to the various illustrator's websites....

Just a little idea for a name for our London exhibition, New Breed is much better!

Le Tour de France has just finished, and I found a cool book buried on my bookshelf about the history of the tour. Drawing I did of these two cyclists enjoy a cigarette together towards the end of the tour!
